Does sun exposure age skin?

The skin is an excellent record keeper. Every moment we are exposed to daylight adds up like money in the bank- the problem is the payoff; namely skin damage in the form of wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation and premature aging, a repressed immune system and the potential for skin cancer. Skin cancer is a global phenomenon.

In the U.S. over one million new cases of skin cancer are diagnosed every year.

1in 5 Americans will developed skin cancer and 90% of these cancers will be the result of exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun.

Australians have the highest rate of skin cancer in the world.

Therefore , the best defense is to limit daylight exposure and protect skin with sunscreen at all times.

We can prevent by:

  • Exfoliation Recommendation (exfoliation can remove possible precancerous cells before they become dangerous, and be sure not to skip the SPF)
